The Chaplains of the General Staff

The personal and special staffs of the commander are served by the chaplains. The most important function of the staff officer is to provide professional advice and counsel to the commander on religious, moral, and ethical issues. The Military Chaplain

The Association of Professional Chaplains requires a board-certified chaplain to complete more than 50 hours of additional training and learning every year. Such experiences should be geared toward a particular field of the chaplain's field.

The successful chaplains offer pastoral counseling that is different from one religious view. They are good at building relationships and are sensitive to situations. The nature of the guidance offered by the chaplains varies according to the institution.
