Early Help Coordinators

When you are identified as a Lead Practitioner, you are expected to co-ordinate provision for a child and their family. When an integrated response is required and a range of services are involved with that child or family, you will act as the single point of contact. The Lead Practitioner is not a new role or job title, but a set of functions to be carried out with assistance from an Early Help Coordinator.

Environmental and unknown cause of learning disabilities

An environment and unknown cause of learning disabilities is when you develop it from pollution which may cause disabilities to the individual. Drinking or taking drug can cause learning disabilities in the baby in the womb and it can also cause learning disabilities later in life, if someone has an accident and it affects their brain. If a person has a poor nutrition, they may show signs of learning disabilities, such as hitting their head and damaging their brain, which is why they need to wear their seatbelt.
