There is a misconception that mentoring can only be done in global conglomerates or large organizations with big budgets and a dedicated HR team. Formal learning partnerships or relaxed relationships between two co-workers can be used for mentorships. Mentoring can help you build your confidence, learn new skills and boost your career development.

A mentor is someone who you can trust to guide you, help you learn or understand how to tackle a specific project or problem, and help keep you accountable for your decisions.
